Abstract
A rapid and efficient environment friendly multicomponent one-pot synthesis of 2,3-dihydro-1H-1,5-benzodiazepines catalyzed by tannic acid has been described under solvent free condition. Simple and effective method, use of non-hazardous and cheap catalyst, much faster reaction time (50-60 min) and good to excellent yields are the important features of this method.
