Corrections to published work
Authors are expected to inform the journal’s Executive Editor, by email, of any errors in their article once published. Corrections are made at the journal’s discretion. The correction procedure depends on the publication stage of the article, but in all circumstances a correction notice is published as soon as possible:
Online publication
The correction will be incorporated in the article and the corrected version will be added as an erratum.
Publication in an issue
If the article has already appeared in an issue, an erratum will be printed in the next available print issue.
Retraction Policies
Retractions are considered by journal editor in cases of evidence of unreliable data or findings, plagiarism, duplicate publication, and unethical research. An expression of concern notice may be considered if an article is under investigation. All retraction notices explain why the article was retracted. The retraction procedure depends on the publication stage of the article:
Online publication
The PDF will be replaced with a version watermarked with "Retracted" but the original text will remain accessible. A retraction notice will also be published in the next available print issue.
Publication in an issue
A retraction notice will also be published in the next available print issue.
In rare cases, we may have to remove the original content for legal reasons. In such cases we will leave the metadata (title and authors) and replace the text with a note saying the article has been removed for legal reasons. A retraction notice will also be published online and/or in print.
Withdrawal Policy
Withdrawal of articles is generally discouraged and is only considered under exceptional circumstances for early versions of articles that have been accepted for publication but have not yet undergone formal publication ("articles in press"), although they may already be accessible online. Such early versions may contain errors, may have been inadvertently submitted multiple times, or may breach the journal’s publishing ethics guidelines (e.g., multiple submissions, false authorship claims, plagiarism, or fraudulent data usage). In cases involving legal or ethical violations, or where incorrect or misleading data could pose a risk if utilized, a decision may be made to withdraw the early version from the electronic platform. Withdrawal entails the replacement of the article's content with an HTML page and a PDF indicating that the article has been withdrawn in accordance with the Asian Publication Corporation’s policy on article withdrawal.
It should be noted that even if an author retains copyright over their article, this does not confer the right to withdraw it after publication, as the preservation of the integrity of the published scientific record remains a priority, and the withdrawal policy is applicable in such instances.
Authors who request the removal of a manuscript while it is still under peer review will incur a fee of USD 100 (INR 2000) per manuscript. If the withdrawal request is made after the manuscript has been approved for print, the fee will be USD 150 (INR 3500) per manuscript. Additionally, a formal request for manuscript removal must be submitted, accompanied by an official letter signed by the corresponding author and the Head of the Department of the affiliated institution, addressed to the Editor-in-Chief.
