Abstract
An environmentally benign three-component reaction in solventless medium at elevated temperature has been developed for the synthesis of pyrimidines derivatives, 4a-4m, were synthesized in high yield using a newly developed green chemistry medium cyclocondensation reaction of b-ketoester, aryl aldehyde and (thio)urea. In all of these biginelli reactions, a mixture of the appropriate b-ketoester, aryl aldehyde and (thio) urea were subjected to agitation by using ZnSnO4 as a reaction catalyst.
