Abstract
The HBr/H2O2 system was found to be highly efficient and green catalytic system for the selective oxidation of styrene to benzoylformic acid in excellent yields under water as solvent. The process of etherification is simple, highly efficient and inexpensive by using TiO2/SO42- as catalyst.
