Synthesis and Characterization of meso-Tetra(4-carboxyphenyl)porphyrin Complex of Palladium

Abstract
A porphyrinic compound Pd[TCPP-(CH3)4]·H2O (1) [TCPP = meso-tetra(4-carboxyphenyl)porphyrin] has been prepared via solvothermal reactions and characterized by X-ray diffraction method. It features an isolated structure with a coplanar porphyrin macrocycle. The Pd[TCPP-(CH3)4] moieties and lattice water molecules link together by hydrogen bonding interactions to give a three-dimensional (3-D) supramolecular framework.
