Abstract
A simple rapid, accurate, economical and sensitive spectrophotometric method for the determination of aceclofenac and tizanidine hydrochloride in combined dosage forms has been developed. The method is based on the additivity of absorbances. Aceclofenac shows absorption maxima at 273.5 nm and tizanidine shows absorption maxima at 319.5 nm in phosphate buffer pH 7.4. Beer Lambert's law is obeyed for both the drugs in the concentration range 5-45 μg/mL. The accuracy and reproducibility of the proposed method was statistically validated by recovery studies.
