Abstract
Three divalent transition metal complexes, [M3(HL)(CH3COO)]·EtOH [M = Co(II), Ni(II) and Cd(II)] have been synthesized by the reaction of 5,5',6,6'-tetrahydroxy-2,2'-[ethylene-1,2-diyldioxy)bis(nitrilomethylidyne)]diphenol (H6L) with Co(II), Ni(II) and Cd(II) acetate hydrates in anhydrous ethanol medium, respectively. All the complexes were characterized by elemental analyses, IR spectra, UV-visible spectra, TG-DTA analyses and molar conductance measurements.
