Abstract
New terpenoids were prepared by ruthenium catalyzed cross-metathesis of terpenes (1a-c) with methyl acrylate (2) under environmental friendly conditions in glycerol. The new terpenoids compounds were fully characterized by FT-IR, 1H, 13C spectra and by HRMS analysis. Furthermore, the synthesis of some diazecin-3-ones is described via reaction of compound 4 with hydrazine hydrate or phenyl hydrazine in glycerol at reflux. The new compounds 5 were characterized by FT-IR, HRMS analysis and NMR spectral data.
