New Steroidal Alkaloid Constituent from Solanum surrattense

Abstract
A new steroid alkaloid have been isolated from the ethyl acetate soluble fraction of the whole plant of Solanum surrattense. The structure was assigned on the basis of 1D (1H-NMR, 13C-NMR, DEPT, NOE) and 2D NMR (HMBC, HMQC, COSY, NOESY) experiments. The isolated steroidal alkaloid was found to be a new addition in the list of natural products.
