Abstract
Glycidyltrimethylammonium chloride (GTMAC) is an amine-containing composite and often used to introduce quaternary amino groups onto several types of materials for different applications. Glycidyltrimethylammonium chloride-modified carbon nanotubes with good water solubility have been reported recently, but their applications are not clear. In this study, the potential applications of glycidyltrimethylammonium chloride-modified carbon nanotubes were evaluated via the following areas: the assembly of layer-by-layer films, DNA binding and antibacterial activity.
