Abstract

Synthesis of 3-amino-6-methyl-4-phenyl-1H-pyrazolo [3,4-d] pyrimidine (II), which underwent cycloaddition on heating with some vicinal chlorocyanoheterocyclic systems, diethyl malonate, phenacyl bromide and diethyl oxalate. On the other hand, the reactions of (II) with aromatic aldehydes, α-dicarbonyl compounds, α-keto acid and different acylating agents have been investigated.
