Abstract
The ionisation of hydroxylamine was studied in aqueous methanol and aqueous 1,4-dioxane solutions at 5º intervals in the range 5–35ºC. The composition of the organic cosolvent was varied up to 60% (w/w) for each system. Anomalous behaviour was observed in the regions of maximum structure enchancement of water by methanol and 1,4-dioxane. The results are discussed in terms of changes in the structural and dielectric properties brought about by cosolvent addition.
