Spectral Studies on Some New 1,5-Diarylformazans

Abstract

New 1,5-diarylformazan derivatives containing carboxylic and arsenic groups are prepared. The structure of the prepared compounds was investigated using IR, NMR and mass spectrometry. A fragmentation pattern for theses compounds is give. The IR and NMR spectra revealed the existence of strong hydrogen bond between N₁ and N₅. The important IR-bands are assigned to their corresponding groups.
