Abstract
Condensation of 1-phenylnaphthcyclopentan-2,4,9-trione (II)
with aromatic aldehydes yielded the corresponding 3-benzylidene
derivative (lIla-f). Interaction of lIIa-f with hydrazines. hydroxylamine,
urea and thiourea afforded some new (pyrazoline IVa-f,
Va-f, isoxazolino VIa-f, pyrimidine and/or pyrimidine-thione,
Vlla-f, Vllla-f) derivatives, respectively.
