Abstract
Anionic complexes of oxovanadium(lV) of the type
[(CH3)4N]2·[VO(NCS)4L), where L = pyridine (py), γ-picoline
(γ-pic), imidazole (Imz), quinoline (Q), isoquinoline (IQ), 2-amino
4-methyl pyridine (2-Am 4-MePy), urea, pyridine N-oxide (PyNO),
triphenyl phosphine oxide (TPPO), thiourea (Tu), phenyl thiourea
(ph-Tu), 1-naphthyl thiourea (1 Naph-Tu) and diphenyl thiourea
(Ph2Tu) have been isolated and characterised on the basis of their
elemental analyses, conductance, room temperature magnetic
moment, infrared and electronic spectral data.
