Abstract
Complexes of the type [MLL´2X2] where M = Co(II), Ni(II),
Cu(II); L = m-nitrobenzaldehyde semicarbazone (MNBS); L´ = pyridine
(Py), γ-picoline (γ-Pic) and quinoline (Qn) X = Cl–·Br– and
NO–3 were synthesized. The infrared spectra indicate the coordination
of both the ligands to metal ion. Magnetic moment and electronic
spectral data provide existence of octahedral geometry in all
the complexes.
