Abstract
The submerged fermentative production of lactic acid by mixedcultures of Lactobacillus leishmanni + Lactobacillus bulgaricus andL. leishmannii L. bulgaricus + L. delbrueckii was studied. It hasbeen forund ,hat association of L. leishmannii with L. bulgaricusslightly enhances the yield of lactic acid, while the mixed culturesof L. leishmannii, L. bulgaricus and L. delbrueckii is as effective asL. leishmannii alone.
