Abstract
Condensation of 2-acetoxy-4,4'-dimethoxy chalcone with hydrazine hydrateeither in ethanol or ethylene glycol medium gave the title compounds(3). Their N-substituted derivatives 4 and 5 have been obtained by acetylationand benzoylation. The compounds 3, 4 and 5 have been screenedfor antimicrobial activity.
