Copper(II) Complexes with Schiff Base Ligands 1,2-Diphenyl-2-Alkyliminoethan-1-one Oxime

Abstract

A number of complexes of the type [CuL₂^1-4] and [Cu₂L₂^1-4x₂]where X = CI^-, Br^-, NO₃^- and CIO₄^-, HL^1-4 = Schiff base ligandsderived by the condensation of 1,2-diphenyl-1-hydroxyiminoethan-2-one with n-butylamine (HL¹), iso-butylamine (HL²), n-propylamine(HL³) and isopropylamine (HL ⁴) have been synthesized andcharacterised on the basis of elemental analyses, magnetic susceptibility,conductivity, infrared, ESR and electronic spectral data.
