Abstract
A combination of zirconium tetrachloride and sodium nitrite in the
presence of wet SiO2 was used as an effective nitrosating agent for the
nitrosation of secondary amines to their corresponding nitroso derivatives
under mild and heterogeneous conditions in excellent yields.
