Abstract
A number of N-substituted (biphenylyl) amides have been synthesized by condensation of parent compound, 2-amino biphenyl and different acid chlorides. The acid chlorides, both aliphatic and aromatic ones, were prepared from their corresponding acids using SOCl2/PCl5 in appropriate solvents. The structures of the newly synthesized compounds have been established by analytical and spectral methods.
