New Podand Derivatives of 4H-Pyran-4-ones Possessing Sulfur Atoms

Abstract

Some new sulfur possessing podands of various pyrones were synthesized by means of nucleophilic reaction of 2,6- bis (bromomethyl)-4-oxo-4H-pyran-3, 5-dicarboxylic acid diethyl ester and 2, 6-bis(-4-bromomethylphenyl)-4H-pyran-4-one and 2,6-bis(bromomethyl)-3,5-diphenyl-4H-pyran-4-ones and 3,5-bis(bromomethyl)-2,6-diphenyl-4H-pyran-4-one with 8-mercaptoquinoline, mercaptoethanol and 2-mercaptobenzothiazole.
