Abstract
The composition of the essential oil from aerial parts of Salvia specie i.e., S. brachycalyx boiss. has been analyzed by GC and GC/MS. During the flowering period, the oil (S. brachycalyx) consisted mainly of monoterpenes. The major components of the oil of S. brachycalyx were 1,8-cineole (76.58 %), geraniol (15.08 %) and a-pinene (0.78%).
