Abstract
The azo dyes (1-6) containg phosphonic acid were synthesized and characterized by the analytical and spectroscopic techniques and applied to the wool with the mordant and mordantless methods without the cyanamide at lower temperatures. The mordant properties of the metal ions containing different charges were compared. From the results, the dyed fibers with Cu2+ and Co2+ showed more good results for the light and rubbing fastness than other dyeing.
