Abstract
Some α:β-unsaturated aromatic ketones were synthesized from p-chloro, p-nitro and p-methoxy acetophenones and screened for their antimicrobial activity against Escherichia coli, Bacillus subtilis, Colletotrichum capsici and Candida albicans.
