Abstract
Two simple and sensitive spectrophotometric methods are developed for the quantitative estimation of glibenclamide in pure and pharmaceutical formulations. Both methods are based on the formulations of coloured oxidative coupling product p-N,N-dimethyl phenylene diamine (DMPD) and chloramine-T (CAT) or 2,6-dichloroquinone chlorimide (DCQC) exhibiting maximum absorption at 535 and 530 nm respectively.
