Abstract
An efficient and convenient approach to the condensation reaction of aromatic aldehydes and barbituric acid using ZrO2/SO42- solid superacid as catalyst with grinding at room temperature (without any solvent) is described. This method provides several advantages such as neutral condition, high yields and environment friendly.
