Abstract
A rapid and facile one pot synthesis of nitriles has been carried out in high yields from the corresponding aldehydes and hydroxylamine hydrochloride in the presence of environmentally benign anhydrous sodium sulphate and sodium bicarbonate catalysts in dry media under microwave irradiation.
