Abstract
NaBH4 in the presence of catalytic amounts of NiCl2·6H2O reduces varieties of nitroarenes to their corresponding amines. Reduction reactions were carried out in a mixture of CH3CN and H2O (3.0:0.3 mL) at room temperature with high to excellent yields of products.
