Abstract
Non-isothermal kinetics and thermodynamics of solid-state decomposition of low density polyethylene (LDPE) and high density polyethylene (HDPE) has been investigated through simultaneous thermogravimetric-differential thermal analysis-differential thermo gravimetric [TG-DTGDSC] under nitrogen atmosphere. Thermal data deduced was used for calculations of thermodynamic parameters through Horowitz-Metzger and Coats-Redfern methods along with kinetics and mechanism of degradations according to the method of Sestak, Berggren and Satava.
