Synthesis, Characterization of Ru(II) Complexes of New Schiff Bases

Abstract

The synthesis and characterization of six hexacoordinated Ru(II) complexes of the type [RuC1(CO)(EPh₃)(B)(L)] (E = P or As; B = PPh₃, AsPh₃ or pyridine; L = monobasic bidentate Schiff base anion) are reported. IR, electronic, ¹H NMR and ³¹P NMR spectral data are discussed. An octahedral geometry has been tentatively proposed for all theses complexes.
