Abstract
An efficient synthesis of 3,4-dihydropyrimidinones (DHPMS) using sulfamic acid as catalyst from an aldehyde, β-keto ester, urea and thiourea under the conventional heating and solventfree microwave irradiations is described. The solvent-free microwave assisted green procedure offer advantages such as shorter reaction times, simple work-up, excellent yield over the conventional heating.
