Abstract
Various benzylideneamino-5H-thiochromeno[2,3-b]pyridin-5-one derivatives were synthesized by using microwave irradiation as well as conventional heating method by the reaction of 7- amino-5H-benzothiopyrano[2,3-b]pyridin-5-one with different aldehydes. The synthesized compounds were characterized through mass, 1H NMR, IR spectra and elemental analysis. The Schiff's bases were screened for their antibacterial and antioxidant properties.
