Abstract
Some new derivatives of thieno[2,3-d]pyrimidin-4(3H)-ones have been prepared via condensation reaction of ethyl 2-amino-4,5-dimethylthiophene-3-carboxylate with triethylorthoacetate followed by cyclocondensation with amines or hydrazines using microwave irradiation in solventfree condition.
