Abstract
A novel coordination polymer of [Zn(Hbsal)
2(4,4'-bipy)]n (Hbsal = 5-bromosalicylate, 4,4'-bipya = 90º, b = 121.92(3)º, g = 90º, Mr = 653.58, V =3, Dc = 1.829 g/cm3, F(000) = 1288 and Z = 4. The structure analysis shows that the
= 4,4'-bipyridine) was synthesized by hydrothermal reaction and characterized by elemental
analysis and X-ray single crystal diffraction. The crystal is monoclinic, space group C2/c with a
= 20.561(4), b = 9.207(2), c = 14.769(3) Å,
2373.0(8) Å
complex exhibits a 1D zigzag chain structure.
