Abstract

A new arylnaphthalide lignan glycosides, 4-O-b-D-apiofuranosyl-(1"'-->6")-b-D-glucopyranosyldiphyllin (1), together with three known compounds, procumphthalide-A, cilinaphthalide-A, justicidinoside-B, have been isolated from the whole plant of Justicia prostrata. The use of IR, UV, one and two-dimensional NMR spectroscopy and chemical methods were applied for the identification of these compounds.
